Group Bookings — Rush St Kilda

Every room runs at the same time, so a bigger group splits across rooms and races the clock together. Rush St Kilda has four rooms, so you can bring up to about 24 people and still finish around the same time. Book live below, or email us for a large group, party or corporate session.

How groups work

Each room takes 2 to 6 players, and all rooms run simultaneously, so groups split across rooms and go in together. Tell us your numbers and we will help you spread the group across the right rooms.

Crew Night — weeknight groupsMonday to Friday from 4pm, groups of 4 to 6 at a fixed price (from $250). Use code CREWNIGHT at checkout. Excludes public and school holidays.
Corporate & team building — weekday daytimePriced per room, ideal for work teams, with larger groups split across rooms and competing. See team building and corporate events, or email enquiries@rushescapegame.com.au.
Birthdays, hens & bucksAn escape room is a great centrepiece for a celebration. See celebrations, then head to a nearby bar or restaurant afterwards.

For the group that will not agree on how scary it should be

Four rooms here, and between them they cover the entire fright range we publish, from nothing at all through to the top of the scale. No other venue in the network spans that much ground in one building, which makes St Kilda the answer when a group contains both the person who wants to be terrified and the person who absolutely does not.

Everyone still starts at the same time and finishes at the same time. The only difference is what happened to each of them in between, which makes for a considerably better conversation afterwards than four rooms of the same thing.

The numbers here

Four rooms, two to six players in each, all four able to run at once. Twenty-four is the ceiling for a single sitting.

  • Two rooms 12 guests or fewer
  • Three rooms 13 to 18 guests
  • All four rooms 19 to 24 guests, the full venue
  • Two sittings More than 24

The four rooms, worst to gentlest

The Conjoining

Sixteen and over, top of the scare scale

As frightening as anything we run, and it gets there without gore. Put the volunteers in here.

The Last of Them

Teenagers and up, intense

Post-apocalyptic and tense rather than terrifying. The room for people who want pressure without being scared witless.

Alice in Wonderland

All ages, spooky

Strange rather than frightening. Fine for children, with enough of an edge that adults do not feel they have been given the kids' table.

Treasure Island

All ages, no fright

A pirate hunt with none of the above. This is where the nervous contingent goes, and they will not feel short-changed.

Note the consequence for a mixed-age party: three of the four take under-sixteens and one does not, so a family group of twenty-four does not have twenty-four family seats. Full ratings sit on the scare scale.

Finding us, and the stairs

We sit above street level at 100 Barkly Street, so tell the group to look up rather than hunt for a shopfront. Trams 3, 3a and 67 stop about three hundred and fifty metres away at Stop 34, and the 16 passes Luna Park at Stop 33. Street parking around Barkly Street is paid and it gets tight on a summer weekend, so a group driving in on a hot Saturday should allow for a lap or two.

If anyone in your party would struggle with a flight of stairs, tell us when you book rather than on the day and we will talk through what we can do.

Rates for a group here

Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. Per player it runs from $74 down to $70 as each room fills toward six.

Across Monday to Thursday, all day. Every adult is $50 provided 3 or more are in the room, with no code to remember.

Weekday evenings. From four in the afternoon Crew Night takes over, and across Monday to Friday, 4pm till late a whole room of four to six costs between $250 and $300 on the code CREWNIGHT.

Weekday daytime for a work team is priced per room and lives on team building. Everything public is on prices and deals.

Making a day of it, not just an hour

This is the venue where the booking is genuinely the middle of something rather than the end. Luna Park, the Esplanade and the beach are all within a short walk, Acland Street handles the eating and Fitzroy Street handles the drinking.

Which means a morning or early afternoon session leaves the group a whole day on the bay afterwards, and that is a materially better structure for a birthday or a visiting group than an evening slot followed by everyone driving home.

Group questions

Can we split by how brave people are rather than by who came with who?

That is the intended use of this venue. Sort the group by appetite, not by friendship, and everybody gets the hour they actually wanted.

We are twenty-four exactly.

Four rooms of six, one start, the full venue. Email us so the four sessions are locked to the same time.

Is The Conjoining too much for a hens or bucks group?

For most, no, that is precisely what they came for. Just do not put anyone in it who has not chosen it themselves.

Best time of day for a group here?

Earlier than you think. The beach and Acland Street are the second half of the day, and they are better in daylight.
