Group Bookings — Rush South Yarra
Every room runs at the same time, so a bigger group splits across rooms and races the clock together. Rush South Yarra has six rooms, so you can bring up to about 36 people and still finish around the same time. Book live below, or email us for a large group, party or corporate session.
How groups work
Each room takes 2 to 6 players, and all rooms run simultaneously, so groups split across rooms and go in together. Tell us your numbers and we will help you spread the group across the right rooms.

The one venue that takes a big group in a single wave
Six rooms under one roof is the whole argument for bringing a large group here. Everywhere else in our network, a party past a certain size has to be broken into two sittings. At South Yarra it does not, which means one start time, one finish, and one set of results to argue about.
That matters more than it sounds. A group that plays in two shifts is really two events with a gap in the middle, and the half waiting around is the half that remembers the day as standing in a foyer.
The numbers here
All six rooms seat two to six players and all six can run at the same moment. Thirty-six people is the ceiling for a single simultaneous sitting, and it is comfortably the largest we can do anywhere.
- Two rooms Up to 12 guests
- Three rooms 13 to 18
- Four rooms 19 to 24
- Five rooms 25 to 30
- All six 31 to 36, the full venue
Beyond thirty-six we run a second sitting after the first, which extends the day rather than turning anyone away. Tell us the number and we will lay it out before you commit to anything.
Six rooms, and how to spread a group across them
The mix here is deliberately broad, which is what makes it workable for a group nobody vetted in advance.
- Cluemanji, Monsterz and Game of the Dragon carry no age restriction and no fright element. These are where a mixed-age or nervous contingent goes.
- Secret Agent Man and HackSaw: Chapter 2 are rated for teenagers and up, the first playful and the second tense.
- It's Nightmare is restricted to sixteen and over and is one of the most frightening hours we run.
For a corporate or family group, that leaves five rooms usable by everyone and one that some of the party cannot enter, which is worth knowing before the numbers get divided up. Every fright and difficulty rating is published on the scare scale.
Getting thirty people to the same door
This is our closest venue to the city. From Flinders Street it is a train ride of about five minutes, then a two-minute walk at the other end. For a group assembling from all over Melbourne, or coming out of a CBD office together, it is the least effort of the four.
Send everyone to 147 Osborne Street. The building fronts 160 Toorak Road, but that is not where you come in, and twenty-five people splitting up to look for a door is a slow start to the afternoon. Drivers have paid street parking on the surrounding blocks, and the Como Centre car park is about the same walk.
Group pricing at South Yarra
The weekend, plus public holidays. A player costs $74, falling to $70 wherever a room is filled to six. Six full rooms is the lowest per-head figure available anywhere in the network.
Weeknights and weekdays. An adult is $50 across Monday to Thursday, all day, provided at least 3 are in the room.
Crew Night. Monday to Friday, 4pm till late, rooms of four to six priced whole rather than per person, $250 through $300, code CREWNIGHT.
Weekday daytime bookings for work teams are priced by the room instead. That sits on team building, and every published rate is set out on prices and deals.
Where the group goes next
Chapel Street begins at the end of the block, so a party of twenty walks to dinner rather than organising a convoy. It is the densest set of options within five minutes of any venue we run, which is the practical reason South Yarra hosts so many hens nights and birthdays that carry on afterwards.
The gardens, the cricket ground and the tennis are all minutes away, so check what is on in the sports precinct before you drive in on an event day.
Group questions
Can we book the entire venue?
Yes, thirty-six players across all six rooms at one start time. Come through us rather than taking six separate sessions online, so the start times are locked together properly.
Some of our group are under sixteen.
Then five of the six rooms are open to them and It's Nightmare is not. Plan the split around that rather than discovering it at the briefing.
Is this the right venue for a work team?
For a large one, yes, on room count and on how easy it is to reach from the city. Weekday daytime is our corporate window and it is priced per room.
Our numbers are not final.
Give us the likely maximum and we will hold the rooms for it. You are charged for the players who turn up, so an optimistic estimate costs nothing.
