When to come
Glenferrie Road is a Swinburne University precinct, busy through semester and a little quieter over summer, with the MCG and the sports precinct a short run west. A tram at the door and free parking make Hawthorn the easy-access venue. Book ahead on weekends and over the school holidays.

Where exactly is Rush Hawthorn?
606 Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn, 150 metres from Glenferrie Station. The Route 16 tram stops outside at Stop 72, and there is free street parking on Glenferrie Road and the side streets.
How many people can play?
Each room takes 2 to 6 players, and all three rooms can run at once, so a group of up to about 18 can split across games. For bigger groups or parties, see our Hawthorn group bookings.
Which rooms are scary, and which are not?
HackSaw is our original horror room and a genuine scare. Strangest Thing is spooky and atmospheric rather than frightening, and The Nine-Nine is a not-scary detective room and a family favourite.
Is it good for kids and families?
Yes. The Nine-Nine and Strangest Thing suit all ages, and The Nine-Nine is one of our best family rooms. Players under 16 are welcome with a participating adult. See escape rooms for kids and families.
Can we book a birthday, work night or hens or bucks?
Yes. Start with celebrations for parties, or team building and corporate events for work groups.
How long does it take?
Sixty minutes in the room. Allow around 90 minutes on site with the briefing and a photo at the end.
