Escape Rooms near Brighton
There's no escape room in Brighton itself — but the best version of the day folds one into everything Brighton already does well: the beach, the bathing boxes and Church Street, then the nearest rooms at Rush St Kilda, about 15 minutes up the bay. Here's how to put it together, and you can check live times and book below.
Getting to the rooms from Brighton
A quick run along Beach Road / New Street. Metered street parking on Barkly Street and the streets around it — busy on sunny weekends, so allow a little time. We're on Level 1, so head upstairs when you arrive.
Direct buses link Brighton with St Kilda in roughly 15–25 minutes and drop you on Barkly Street near the venue — the 600 stops right by the National Theatre, a minute away. No changes.
From North or Middle Brighton, the Sandringham line reaches Balaclava in under 10 minutes; from there it's a short tram or a 10-minute walk to Barkly Street.
Make a day of it in Brighton
Brighton is one of Melbourne's classic bayside suburbs, so the smart play is to build the escape room into a proper day by the water. Here's the local version.
The beach and the bathing boxes
Start at Dendy Street Beach, home to the famous Brighton Bathing Boxes — the row of more than 80 brightly painted Victorian huts that are one of Melbourne's most photographed sights. They're free to view from the sand (privately owned, so no going inside), and they look their best in morning light before the crowds. The Bay Trail runs along the foreshore for a walk or a ride, Beach House Brighton sits right at Middle Brighton Beach for a coffee with a water view, and the historic Middle Brighton Baths are good for a sea swim or a drink on the deck over the bay.
Church Street
Brighton's main strip is Church Street — upmarket boutiques and some of the bayside's best eating. Pantry is the local institution for brunch, and MAZI, set in a beautifully restored old church near the beach, is the photogenic pick. For something later, Botticelli does polished Italian, Bobbi Pearl is the one for Asian fusion and cocktails, and Waterfront is the spot for seafood.
…then the escape room
When you're ready, Rush St Kilda is about 15 minutes up the bay, or the direct bus (see above). Three of the four rooms sit at an approachable difficulty, so they work for families and first-timers as well as seasoned players — a good way to round out the day before heading home.

- Rush St Kilda, at 100 Barkly Street, is the closest — about 8 km from Brighton, a 10–15 minute drive up the bay or a direct bus.
- Can we get there without a car?
- Yes. Direct buses (routes 600, 922 and 923) run from Brighton to St Kilda in about 15–25 minutes and stop on Barkly Street near the venue. Or take the Sandringham line to Balaclava and walk or tram the rest.

- Rooms suit groups of 2 to 6, and larger groups can split and compete. Players under 16 are welcome with a participating adult; the St Kilda rooms suit a broad range of ages.
